ONE of the best literary festivals in the world, Bali’s Ubud Writers and Readers Festival, is on again from October 7 to 11.
The beautiful hinterland centre of Ubud would have to be one of the most enchanting and creative venues to host a literary festival. Ubud is Bali’s arts, crafts and cultural mecca – and boasts some of the best restaurants and hotels in Indonesia.
Since its inception six years ago, the festival has attracted world-class writers from around the globe as well as an international audience. The festival is now officially ranked as one of the six best literary festivals in the world.
