Wildlife artist Geraldine Simmons paints with passion
November 10, 2009 | 0 Comment(s)

Geraldine Simmons, GERALDINE Simmons is an Australian artist who lives and works in the beachside suburb of Collaroy, on Sydney’s northern beaches, with her husband and two children. The majestic surroundings and abundant wildlife resonate with her deep respect and passion for the natural world, and provide inspiration for her work in watercolour, coloured pencils, and pastels.

“My love of drawing and painting is aligned with my deep respect and passion for the natural world. All the love I have within is poured into my drawings and is reciprocated by the connection I feel to an animal's soul and intelligence – its perfection. My mission as an artist is to communicate that love so that we can see the perfection of our own souls: to honour all living things as we aspire to live in peace, harmony and unity. Through my art I intend to give something back to the animals, as every animal deserves the utmost honour, respect and space to live in; they are our teaches, our guides.”
